A tribute to four crafts
Craftsmanship has shaped Jean Laporte's profession as a perfumer.
In 1976 on rue de Grenelle, Jean Laporte opened his first boutique — a temple to artisans. Artisans he had spent a childhood studying with fascination as they plied their trades in his village. In the shop, eaux de toilette jostle with home scents, potpourris, solid perfumes and the famous Boules d'Ambre, a hand-sculpted tradition passed from mother to daughter. L'Artisan Parfumeur's love of craftsmanship is a heritage that carries beyond fragrances to the nomadic leather pouches as well as the artistic marbled paper that adorns its Les Paysages collection.
A celebration of a multitude of artisanal talents!
