Tonka Bean

It is obtained by extracting the seed, previously dried and soaked in rum, from a tree that grows from Brazil to Mexico. This brown almond is a good luck charm for the Amazonian Indians, who venerate its medicinal virtues. The so-called “Brazilian vanilla” develops an almondy, caramelised, vanilla-like, almost roasted scent, which has the gift of sweetening everything that accompanies it.
