Native to the Andes, it is known as the 'wood of life' because of its solidity, making it an excellent material for traditional toys and bowling balls. With its smoky, woody, leathery and slightly balsamic accents, the essential oil obtained after 30 hours of distillation is sometimes reminiscent of vetiver, with which it shares its balance and elegance.
