Originally from India, it takes root in the volcanic soil of Haiti and the island of Java in Indonesia. Twelve months is the ideal time for these roots to absorb the spices of the land. Traditional steam distillation produces an essence with a fiery temperament and earthy, smoky, leathery facets, with hints of grapefruit and peanut.
