A flowering vegetable that probably originated in the Middle East and was consumed by the Greeks and Romans throughout antiquity before being forgotten, the natural extract has only recently appeared on the perfumer's palette. With its spicy, leathery, earthy and creamy facets, it brings a peaty effect to the composition, and a great deal of naturalness.
